The commissioning of the Shanghai Mingwa Underground Laboratory involves challenges that are unique to Chinese cultural, historical, and geographical conditions. In this paper, we describe and share the experiences of this complex project with the international community. In particular, we focus on the site selection, geological modeling, and radon detection system design. A training site in Mingwa, China, was selected in June 2009, and the construction project for the underground laboratory started in November 2009. In July 2011, the geological modeling and radon detection system for the underground laboratory were completed successfully, and the commissioning of the underground laboratory will begin. The Colorado State University (CSU) Accelerator Facility will include a 27-MeV electron linac and high-quality electron beam and beam diagnostics system. This report explains the design and the implementation of the beam diagnostics system. The CSU facility allows a variety of electron beam production and testing at all principal energies. In 2017 the design was frozen and the fabrication and the commissioning of the diagnostics system was started. The magnetic diagnostic system is a time-of-flight (ToF) system with 10 detector modules allowing measurement of transverse dimensions of the beam. An energy-selecting beam splitters are used and two TOF modules are also used. The structure of the two TOF modules are designed in order to provide a full 6D ToF measurement. The first 0D ToF provides position and beam current information, while the second 6D ToF is based on using the residual energy modulation caused by the hit tracker in the 27-MeV electron beam and the trajectories of the electrons are measured using a three-DCAD (Diagonal Crossing and Collaboration and Distribution) detector array. Detector performance are tested using equivalent Cockcroft-Walton and drift chambers. In 2017, the design is completed and commissioning of the system starts. d2c66b5586
