On August 2, Drake dropped the music video for his song "Sticky," the seventh track off his album Honestly, Nevermind released on June 17. The video shows the Canadian singer mostly on the move, hopping in and out of planes, boats and automobiles between shows, dinners, clubs and a dip in a pool.
Before his passing, fashion visionary Virgil Abloh was working closely with Mercedes-Benz on something called Project Maybach. Unveiled shortly after his death last year, the electric off-roading concept has now made an appearance in Drake's latest music video, for his newly released single, Sticky. The unique Maybach features prominently in the video and is a rather fitting tribute to Abloh, who was a close friend of the rapper.
"Off-road Maybach, Pyrex trap, Virgil came back through the boy, damn," read the lyrics. From the 2:18 mark, the concept is seen parked next to a lake, reinforcing the adventurous persona of the custom creation. While we don't get to see the vehicle in action, the music video gives us a further look into the imposing styling and luxurious interior.
AceShowbiz -Drake has unleashed a new music video for "Sticky". The Canadian hip-hop star released the Theo Skudra-directed visuals on Tuesday, August 2, more than a month after he dropped his latest album "Honestly, Nevermind".
The South African music producer is one of the rapper's collaborators on his latest album, Honestly, Nevermind. But judging from Drake's latest music video and recent social media activity, the pair are friends too.
The music video shows Drake jet-setting and partying around the globe, including a sequence with the so-called Project MAYBACH showcar. An impressive all-electric off-road coupe co-created with mastermind Virgil Abloh and unveiled as a tribute to the designer shortly after his death in 2021.
