Last night I got home from work and saw the windows update on my desktop, and I clicked it like usual and checked for any security updates and it just said this “Windows Security Update for Microsoft.NET Framework 4 (KB2511946) has been downloaded and is ready to install. Click on Next to begin the installation.”

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this update or if it was just a false alarm, so I tried to go back and check for updates on my laptop, and the update was already there. If anyone has a clue on this, I’d appreciate it.

I’ve checked with my IT department, and they don’t know anything about this update.

If anyone knows anything about this, or if there’s something I should be worried about I’d appreciate any information you can give me. I’m not really that tech savvy, so I’m not sure what to make of it.

Update:

So I got home from work today and pulled up my windows update history, and I realized that I did actually install this update yesterday. I guess it must have been a false alarm, because I’m on a clean install of Windows 10 Home, and it was the only update for windows that was pending at the time, and it’s still pending now, so I guess it had to be a false alarm.

I’ve taken the liberty of uninstalling the.NET update from the package manager, and I’ll be keeping an eye out for any updates or changes that this may cause.

Thank you for any help that you can offer with this, I’m sure I must have missed something somewhere. I don’t usually have issues with Microsoft updates, but I just want to be sure that there’s not anything else that could be causing problems with my laptop.

I am running a PC with Windows 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS6. I am wondering how to end the trial period and convert to a full copy of Photoshop CS6. I tried closing down Photoshop, which produced a message telling me to return the disk. I did that, but the same message returned. How can I end this?
